2015-2016 Edison Chargers!



Register for Aeries

In order to register for school year 2015-2016, you must establish an Aeries account. Click here to find out more about Aeries. Without an Aeries account, you will not be able to register your student for next school year. If you have not already set up your Aeries account, you should have recently received a note in the mail that included your student’s permanent ID number and the Verification code (VPC), both of which will be needed to establish your account. If you don’t receive the ID # or the VPC, contact the school at (714) 962-1356. You and your student will need the following information to create the parent and student account:

  • HBUHSD Student ID Number: Unique six (6) digit ID number assigned by the district.
  • The family’s primary telephone number.
  • Verification code (VPC): Unique eight (8) digit access code assigned by the district.
  • Email address: Current preferred email address.

A parent account in Aeries allows you to view (and, where applicable, update) your student’s demographic information, emergency information, grades, attendance, etc.

Timeline for Aeries Data Verification (REQUIRED for registration for school year 2015-2016)

  • Now: Parents and students create their Aeries accounts following the instructions below.
  • July 1–August 5: Parents verify personal data on Aeries and register student for school year 2015-2016. Return to this website and click on the “Aeries Data Verification” link at the top of the page for instructions on how to verify personal data and how to register online your student(s) online.
  • August 11-13: Completed and signed registration documents brought to Edison HS (see the “August Registration Dates” link at the top of this page.)

Create a New Aeries Portal Account

  1. Visit the following site: my.hbuhsd.edu
  2. Select “Aeries” under Parents & Students
  3. Select “Create New Account”
  4. Select “Parent” and click “Next”
  5. Enter the required information, and click “Next”
  6. (Student ID # and Student Verification will be entered here.)
  7. Check your email (possibly you spam/junk folder) for an email from portaladmin@hbuhsd.edu
  8. Click on the link that says “Confirm Current Email Address”
  9. Visit https://aeries.hbuhsd.edu/parent and login with your new account.
  10. Enter the information requested.

Adding a student(s) to your existing Aeries Parent Portal Account

  1. Visit the following website: my.hbuhsd.edu
  2. Select “Aeries” under Parents & Students
  3. Log in with your existing Parent account
  4. Select “Change Student” in the upper right corner of the page.
  5. Select “add new student to your account”
  6. Enter in the pieces of information requested.
  7. Click on the word “Home” in the upper left corner.

Aeries Data Verification

Starting on July 1, 2015, parents may begin the process of Personal Data verification in Aeries.

Personal data must be verified in Aeries in order to register your student for school year 2015-2016. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Sign into your Aeries parent account during the Data Verification window (July 1 – August 9, 2015).
  2. In the top menu bar, hover over Student Info to expand the drop-down menu.
  3. Roll down and click on Data Confirmation.
  4. You will now being the Data Confirmation steps:
    • Student Demographics - Read and review each entry in the Student Demographics section. If changes are needed, click change at the bottom and make changes. Be sure to click save when done. Now click Confirm and Continue.
    • Contacts - Read and review each entry in the Contacts section. To change contact information, add a contact, or delete a contact, click the appropriate button. Enter all requested information and click Save at the bottom. When finished with all contact information, click Confirm and Continue.
    • Medical History - Read and review each entry in the Medical History section. Make any updates to existing medical conditions and add any additional information by clicking on the appropriate selections. Be sure to click Save. When finished with all Medical History, click Confirm and Continue.
    • Documents - Please download, read, and review the appropriate documents that pertain to your student. Hard copies of some of these documents must be submitted when your student registers in August. You will be required to click the box next to each document. When finished with all Documents, click Confirm and Continue.
    • Authorizations - Read and review the descriptions of each Authorization and Prohibition. Click Deny, Interested, Not Interested, or Allow based on your preferences. Click Save. When finished with all Authorizations, click Confirm and Continue.
    • Final Data Confirmation - Click on the Submit Final Confirmation button to finish this confirmation.
  5. After you click the Submit Final Confirmation button, please click on the button, Print New Emergency Card. Print, sign and date the card and hold onto this new Emergency Card. You will be required to turn in this new Emergency Card on your student’s assigned registration day in August along with any of the documents from step 4d.

Print and sign your New Emergency Card and bring it to your August in-person registration date (see 3rd link at the top of this webpage for registration dates) and time. Students will not be allowed to enter the registration line without this document. Edison High School must have this document before the first day of school in order for your student to attend.
